Storyberries - Have You Ever Had a Dream Kid Golden Bird

Scribble, the book's main character, never thought he was different until he met his first drawing. Then, after being left out because he didn't look like everyone else. Scribble teaches the other drawings how to accept each other for who they are. Which enables them to create amazing art together!

Diane Alber has had a passion for art since she held her first crayon at age two, which inspired her to subsequently earn a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Arizona State University. She is a wife and a mother of two young energetic children who love books. She became inspired to start writing and illustrating books because she saw a need for a book that inspired art and creativity in children. She also hopes that this book encourages parents to be proud of their children's art work no matter what it looks like!

Amanda:This book builds confidence!
My son has a higher end of the spectrum ADHD, so drawing is difficult for him. His sister who is a year older and more artistic than he is, would berate his art and say that all he does is scribble, and that he doesn't even know what he's doing. He since hasn't even attempted to color, even though I encourage him to regardless of his rude sisters insults. I bought him this book and read it to him just the other day. I felt this book helped him to look at his art in a much different way, and I'm hoping he will be more confident in the future! THANK YOU!!!

Emily B.Fun engaging book for multiple ages of children.

I am a children’s book nerd. I love finding new books for my kiddos. I found this book by accident and decided to order it. I have a three year old boy and a 6 year old girl. They LOVED it! With my girl, we were able to have conversations about instances in the playground and how even though kids are different than her she can still be friends and play with them! My three year old loved learning the colors and discussing the importantance of making new friends.
Afterwards, we all drew our own scribbles and created a creature and noticed how they were all different yet we made up a family.
Thank you for creating such a fun and full book for different aged children! We LOVED it!

S. Crosby:Very cute book w/a great moral story.
The House said "You look nothing like me go away" Scribble replied "Just give me a chance Please let me try"
Scribble doesn't fit in anywhere. He doesn't look like anyone else and no one will play with him because he's different. The story has a great rhythm with the rhymes. When I first saw the pages they looked wrinkled. Then it dawned on me that they did that on purpose.
I gave this book as part of an end of the year gift to a special needs Teachers. She loved it. It came with a sheet of cute stickers. The kids can make their own Scribble characters and tell their own story.

Sharif:A light-hearted children's book that coaches some big life lessons.
I'll start by saying that Diane has created a phenomenon with this book. Watching my 4yo neice and 2yo nephew get so engaged with the story and then making their own scribbles was all the proof I needed.

This book has near-infinite "replayability" as both a story book, but also as an arts activity. The included stickers allow kids to play with a number of expressions and attitudes for their very own scribbles. And that's what leads me to the biggest plus behind this book.
This book is not only a blast, I found myself having some pretty weighty discussions with my niece and nephew about why scribble wasn't accepted by the other drawings. And then as they moved on to the activities, I found them identifying emotions and facial features (e.g. what do surprised eyes look like?). This is where i was most impressed. I can't wait for any future works from Diane Alber!

Amazon Customer: It was a great read for the kids with those concepts mastered
My son has autism and is very OCD with drawing and coloring. His classmates are very similar in this way so I always donate craft items and/or books to his teachers. This one was such an incredible hit---- Especially for the few perfectionists in art that have spent more time being upset about lines than time allowed for the projects. It was a great read for the kids with those concepts mastered as well. Such a great book. I would buy it again and again.

Jason Miletsky:Simple Scribbles are Completely Reimagined
This book is beyond creative. It takes something that we've all seen and ignored a million times (a simple scribble) and makes it into something we've never thought of before - the foundation for art, imagination, vibrancy, and fun. The story is great for kids, with a strong message and rhymes that make it fun for reading out loud. But where the book really excels is in the artwork, which seems to literally jump off the page. It's also refreshing to read a book that features a completely unique character, and not just another princess, puppy or variation of bear. As far a children's books go, this is about as good as they get.

ForTheLoveOfReading:
Kudos to this author. Great children's book.
It has stickers so that it is interactive along with a cute story. I'm an artist, so I love to do art with my grandson. Making art should be fun, not restrictive and judged, or graded. Some of our greatest artists have made scribbles that are in museums, so why force arbitrary rules on children. The words, creative and freedom, are synonymous in my vocabulary. Kudos to this author.

Nicole Lecy: Cute Book!
My Kinders love this book. It is one of our first inspirations for lessons in the art room. It is short and simple with a sweet message. We draw our own scribble monsters and I am able to introduce many classroom routines at a basic level.
