Wendy:WHO could not love Dr. Seuss books?! I enjoy them as much in my adulthood as I did as a child. I have purchased a large set for my grandbaby a few years ago. Always appreciated by the to-be parents, even though I realize that when you are ordering and wrapping it, the books don't have the "aww!" look about them. At the last baby shower, I didn't know either parent very well but still gave these books - both of their faces immediately lighted up and they said, "We were just talking about how we didn't know what to read to a baby! Of course Dr. Seuss!" And the to-be daddy actually opened the package of books then and there. (Yay! My gift didn't bomb! Or they were just being nice, but at least it'll be used

Rowan:A woman I work for had their first baby and he will turn one very soon. During his visits to our office, I noticed how visually attuned he is -- he studies everything and everybody with acute attention. I bought this Dr. Seuss's Beginner Book Collection for his first birthday and showed it to his mom to ask if he already had a Dr. Seuss's book or books, and if so I could return it (or keep it for myself, I thought!) and get something different for him. She teared up and said, "No, he doesn't! How wonderful!!" I'm not sure who will love it more, the little one for the awsome illustrations to ponder (until he can read them by himself, that is!), or the parent who gets to revisit their childhood while reading to him. It's a total win-win for their family! (And I think I'll order a set for myself anyway, mine are pretty beat up after all these years
Spacey:Great books. Love the rhythm of the words to hold babies interest when read to. Used with my daughter 38 yrs ago and gave them away. Bought these for my new grandbaby 3 months old and she is mesmerized. Price was great so I order these and also ordered the ABC book and the Foot Book from another seller as I had to have those in addition to this boxed set. They are the full sized books.
