ShopThis:Bought for a high school reader who wanted a broader sample of writing from other countries. I must've bought this book half a dozen times now. A well-selected group, covering about 250 years of great writing.

Alvredus:A wide range of stories and covering a wide range of time.
Rick:Very good selection. Highly recommend for any reader.
Carlos M. Sandoval Lop:Again, as every editio I've read so far buy Dover Thrift, is worth every dime. Keep up the great work.
Silvia Belen:This book does fulfill a need foreveryday conversations, but… It is very difficult to make heads or tails out of because the punctuation is abysmal and accent marks seem to be placed rather randomly. Many written accent marks were left out when they are necessary. Sí and si seem to be a total craps shoot. This was probably dictated and no one bothered to proofread it before it was sent to the printers. Many run-on sentences. Punctuation really needs to be cleaned up. Also some of the language is rather stilted and does not look like like anything a native speaker would say. Why did they not use real Spanish names for the speakers in

the dialogs? Jennifer, Abigail, Charlotte, etc. are hard to say in Spanish... I have given up using this book for beginner students and I now use it for advanced students to teach them how to proofread and clean it up for themselves based on being confident of what they already know.
Johnny2gunz:This book has been an incredible way for me to get back into the practice of reading and thinking in useful Spanish, in a variety of situations. I highly recommend this, and the other, equally helpful language-learning materials that are offered by Lingo Mastery. Although they did contact me for a review of their products (They had no idea what my review might be like), I do think very highly of their contributions to my foreign language bookcase, and to the Kindle app on my phone! Very good stuff.

Amazon Customer:One of the best books I've bought for my Spanish two class. It pushes them past beginner stage without being so advanced that they can't find the main ideas in each dialogue. It introduces vocabulary needed for common events such as getting a flight or taking a taxi and last but not least the time it takes to read is around five minutes which, with another 5 minutes to dissect and discuss fits in really well to our class schedule.

Amazon Customer:Excellent dialogues to learn conversational Spanish. If you are wanting to improve your Spanish I also recommend Lingo Mastery 2000 Most Common Spanish Words.
Absolute pleasure to read such simple and warm stories ... the types we took for granted in our childhood and something our children don't often get in today's e-age. Thank you Mrs. Murthy! My Amazon Store: https://www.amazon.com/Salba-Dos/e/B084VGFM99

Please support the authors and publishers of these amazing books by purchasing a copy for your home library. There's nothing like holding an actual book in your hand and turning its pages to fully experience the story. These are books your family will treasure and read over and over again
