Price
The type of juicer on the market today has a quite diverse price with a large difference: there are only a few hundred thousand dongs, but also up to several tens of million dongs. These machines have different capacities and are aimed at specific customers, but are designed to perform the same main purpose: extract juice from fresh fruits and vegetables.
Depending on the family budget, users should set aside a certain amount for buying the press, then choose the machine in the price range. This will help avoid "dizziness" and confusion when standing between too many options.
Learn about the function
One of the reasons for the large price difference of the presses is the technology and the ability to squeeze a variety of fruits and vegetables. Some machines can only squeeze certain foods while others can handle almost all vegetables, fruits, soft or hard fruits. This is why users need to imagine what kind of press they need and will use it frequently to buy. Currently, there are 3 main types of juicer:
- Centrifugal juicer (high-speed press): Designed with a circular tray of many blades and sieve to squeeze water from food. When putting fruit into the press, the tray will rotate at high speed, grind small fruits, separating water from the residue by centrifugal force. The advantage of a centrifugal press is that it is quite cheap (about 500,000 VND - 1.5 million VND), which can squeeze many kinds of vegetables. The machine also has disadvantages such as often making the juice effervescent, splitting water, losing many vitamins, colors and natural flavors being changed, washing complexly, making noise.
- Low-speed juicer: Includes a rolling mill that helps crush vegetables into debris and then squeezes through a membrane. The press is quite exhausted, many kinds of vegetables are large, do not need to be chopped. Less effervescent juice. The disadvantage of the machine is that it can not squeeze all the water with the leaves, the price is higher than the centrifugal press (about 3.5-5.5 million VND).
- Extremely low-speed juicer (slow juicer): Vegetables will be crushed and squeezed out of the water at low speed. The juice is less effervescent, does not separate from the water, preserves the natural color and taste as well as vitamins of vegetables, tubers, and fruits. Machines often run smoothly, causing less noise. The downside of the machine is that the price is high, it takes more time to press, and the removal, assembly, and washing are also more complicated.
Consider cleaning the machine
The pressing process usually involves crushing vegetables, fruits, squeezing water, and will leave a lot of sediment and flour inside the machine. Due to the structure and mechanism of operation, some types of juicers will be easier to clean than others. Some types, users have to disassemble parts, wash them by hand one by one. But there is also a press machine capable of self-cleaning, just pouring water is the basic cleaning machine, then the user only needs to disassemble the details, rinse under the tap.
To know how to clean each type, you should carefully read the product information as well as for instructions for use, refer to the experience of those who have used the press.
Single or double press machine
Most presses have a simple on-off switch. However, some devices have their own modes, one for soft fruits like oranges (quick pressing) and one for harder ingredients like carrots and guava (slow pressing).
The ability to use the two modes is convenient if users often squeeze a variety of vegetables, fruits. But if you just like certain drinks from soft fruits like watermelon, pineapple ... there's no need to invest in a dual-mode device.
