[seaweed chips]French fries are a popular and favorite dish of many people. Although the method is quite simple, not everyone can produce delicious, crispy potatoes.
Ingredients for making chips
Potatoes: 500g fresh potatoes, large tubers.
1 little unsalted butter.
Cooking oil: 500ml.
Oil absorbent paper.
Spices: Salt, sugar, chutney, mayonnaise, cheese powder (optional).
Tools: Stove, non-stick pan, stainless steel holes, basket ...
How to make delicious crisps
Preparation: 1 cold water basin mixed with dilute salt.
Step 1: Peel the potatoes and peel them until they are ready to drop into the brine basin for about 15 minutes so that the potatoes do not brown.
Step 2: Pickled potatoes washed, picked out and cut into pieces of arbitrary shape.
Step 3: Put the potatoes in a pot to boil with a small pinch of salt, a little sugar, when cooked to remove it to drain, soak in cold water immediately for about 5 minutes.
Notes: The quick boiled step will make the fries more crispy, fry faster and won't be chewy, smear when cooled. But do not boil too much to avoid broken potatoes.
Step 4: Pour the oil into the pan, heat it with low heat, add a little butter to melt, then add the potatoes to fry in oil. While stirring gently for evenly cooked sides.
When you see the yellow color is ripe potatoes, use a patch to take out the basket, lined with oil absorbent paper below.
